Thomas Dolan / Dunrobin Road Intersection Plans

The City of Ottawa has hired contractor Quantum Murray LP to undertake a road modification project at the intersection of Dunrobin Road and Thomas A. Dolan Parkway. The initial phase of this project will begin in mid-September 2008 and involves the installation of storm sewers, demolition of the building at 2800 Dunrobin Road and environmental remediation which includes excavation and removal of underground storage tanks, removal of impacted soil from the 2800 Dunrobin Road property and the installation of an impermeable trench within the intersection’s Right-of-Way to enclose the remaining impacted soil. This stage of the work will be completed by the end of November 2008.

The second phase of this project will include the re-alignment of  Dunrobin Road to accommodate the installation of a traffic control signal at the intersection of Dunrobin Road and Thomas A. Dolan Parkway. The intersection modifications will be completed in 2009.

The City would like to thank local residents in advance for their patience and co-operation during the construction and reminds you that this work may result in some inconvenience such as delays in traveling through the construction zone, noise, dust and possible vibrations.

Short-term detours will be required when completing the underground work in the traveled lanes of the Dunrobin Road and Thomas A. Dolan Parkway intersection and alternate routes will be signed.

If you have any questions or concerns during the construction, please call the City or Quantum Murray LP representatives listed below.
