Community Sports Day and Kick off this Sat Nov 1oth

Community Sports Day & Kick Off
Saturday November 10th, 2018
On November 10, at West Carleton Secondary School, a carousel of sport and support will be held featuring a combination of activities, including traditional and adaptive sports, financial resources and in-kind services accessible for ALL affected by the tornados.

The Day will kick-off with a short public rally/media conference in the gymnasium where Sens Foundation, Their Opportunity and Own the Podium will announce the Rebuilding Communities Through Sport initiative. Spokesperson, Todd Nicholson and other community leaders will be on-hand to bring the community together, providing words of inspiration and motivation and encouraging everyone to take a break and just play.

The day will feature sport specific stations guided by Ottawa Senators Alumni/mascots, Olympians/Paralympians, sport and community

“...All we want is for everyone from the first responders, hydro workers, affected families for West Carleton, Arlington Woods and Gatineau and all the public to come out and have some fun,” Nicholson said. “See what sport can do to give you a break and also play as a family, regardless of ability there will be something for everyone.”
